Just a Sketch

After 12+ hours, I finally quit. I can't finish it to make it look better. I drew Freddie Highmore, my favorite actor. I murdered his beautiful face ;A;

I outlined his face first with graphite pencil and then filled in the details with charcoal pencil. I really had a hard time drawing his nose D:

I won't post the reference photo because you might see the inaccuracy in my drawing. Huhu.

  1. Keep trying in doing something beautiful within you. Drawing is an art that could give positive impact to a person. I've done this before and truly made my inner self at ease.

  3. It's always tricky to draw still life. I've been doing it in architecture school for 3 years and I still don't understand it to be honest. Haha! It really takes time! :)

  5. Faces are really too difficult to draw. People have distinctive features that only artists of a certain talent can capture it like a photograph. Or else you should become more abstract, like Picasso did. :-)

  12. There's a superstition that when you're left handed, you're a good drawer. I'm left handed and I can't draw! Wish I could though 😁
